Andrew Tate and the Stats

1 in 4 young men agree with Tate’s views on women; 1 in 3 women will become victims of violence. Coincidence?

A recent study showed that one and four young men believe that the misogynistic things Andrew Tate says about women are valid and should be followed. The controversial social media influencer promotes a version of “masculinity” that is rooted in violent misogyny and racism, and toxic behavior.

Meanwhile, a very famous study from the UN shows that one in three women will experience gender based violence in her lifetime, most often at the hands of an intimate partner.

It’s difficult to overlook the correlation here.

That being said, I think that when we’re looking at the influence that Andrew Tate has over young men and the correlation between violence against women, I think we would do better to do less pearl clutching, and instead look a little more closely at the percentages of our societies that identify with sociopaths who platform the likes of Andrew Tate, or Donald Trump, the OG sociopathic influencer for our modern age.

These are the people that we actually need to look out for and not platform.
